Sell Your Rough
We buy parcels and single stones. Tell us what you have by email and we will tell you plainly whether it is for us.
Most of what we are offered comes from cutters clearing a bench, an estate, or a collection that has outgrown its owner. All of it is welcome. We would rather see a photograph and a weight than a description, because rough is very hard to describe and very easy to show.
What to send us
- Photographs Daylight, on a plain background, with something for scale. A few angles beats one perfect shot — and wet the stone or hold it to the light if you want us to see through it.
- Weight In carats or grams, whichever your scale reads. Per stone for anything notable, and a total for the parcel.
- Where it came from Origin if you know it, and how it came to you — bought at a show, inherited, mined yourself. An honest "no idea" is fine and will not put us off.
- Anything you have been told Old labels, receipts, certificates or a previous owner's notes. We check everything ourselves, but it all helps.
Send what you have, even if it is incomplete — a photograph on its own is a perfectly good start, and we will ask for the rest if we need it. We reply to everything, including the parcels we pass on.
